The Pollok Free State 1992 – 1996

Pollok and Corkerhill communities live next to the proposed M77 scheme, and their communities opposed the road for decades. Pollock park was to be destroyed for the motorway despite this land being gifted to the people of Glasgow – common land. Some people from the communities staged a live in protest and the Pollok Free State was founded. Simon Yuill worked with some of the members of the free state to produce a film piece. (more…)
